Ready to take your paddling skills to the next level? 

SUP Skills is a coaching program developed to help you build strenght and endurance on the water. This for you if you're looking to work on paddling smarter not harder. You want to work on paddling efficiency, improve your agility, and work on conditioning for longer distance paddle adventures. 

This is not a beginner course. This is for those who are comfortable on their board and are ready to take their skills to the next level.  

In this 3 week series,  you'll develop your forward stroke, a few turning strokes, how to brace and stop, water safety, how to read weather conditions and have fun while we paddle together. How to fall off safetly and getting back on. Yes, falling in will make you a more confident paddlers - be ready to also be in the water! Improving your paddling skills will help you improve your confidence on the water! 

Each week we will work on building strength and efficiency while paddling. Get ready to work for it, this course is a workout! 

Important Details

  • Dates: 
    • Wednesday Series 6pm to 7:30pm on June 26th, July 10th, and July 17th 
    • No longer running > Friday Series 11am to 12:30pm on June 28th, July 12th, and July 19th
  • Locations will vary - Bob Lakes, 3 Nation’s Lake, Mattagami River, or MacDonald Lake 
  • Limited space available - small group size for personalized coaching 
  • Bring your board only

  • $110 for the 3 week series 
  • Special pricing for those registered for the Backcountry Retreat and for the SUP Yoga Paddle Club Membership - please contact sylvie@rebelsoul.ca for your code

About your instructor: This series is led by Sylvie Lamothe who has been training over the last 6 years under Paddle Canada Certification courses. Sylvie has her Basic SUP Certification, Advanced Flatwater, and Basic SUP Instructor Certification with Paddle Canada and is an active member of Paddle Canada. 

Important to note 

  • If the weather does not permit us to be on the water, the session will be rescheduled to the next available Wednesday or Friday 
  • You’ll be notified of the location 24 hours prior to the start of each session as the location is chosen based on weather conditions 
  • Only available for a series, if you’d like to have a pop-up workshop please message Sylvie to schedule a private session for you and/or your group

When bringing your own board and equipment make sure to bring your life jacket and whistle. Safety is a priority for Rebel Soul activities.
